According to Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung, since December 2015, the city has abandoned all the separate servers of the district. Over the past two years, Hanoi has set up a network of 584 wards and communes, serving public administration reform and applying online public services to the people.
In the process of building e-government and smart cities, Hanoi is particularly interested in setting up databases, applying information technology for traffic management, emergency services, fire prevention and fighting, answering people’s questions, analyzing data, system security …
Hanoi has worked with foreign businesses to build the largest data center complex in the country, including six data center complexes with a total capacity of 1,200 MW. The process of building these data centers is linked to the process of building the database system of the city.
Along with that, the city also strengthens cooperation, developing software to build intelligent cities such as intelligent parking systems, replacing energy-saving lighting systems.
Nguyen Duc Chung said in the coming time, Hanoi wishes to strengthen cooperation with organizations and enterprises at home and abroad. Among them is the Asia-Oceania Computer Industry Organization (APEC) to accelerate the pace of smart city construction, especially in the second phase of using end-users.
