Thu Thiem New Urban Area Has 36Ha Of Land Without Investors

That is the latest update that has been Nguyen The Minh – Deputy Head of Investment Management Board of Thu Thiem new urban area said in a recent meeting with HCM City People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Thanh Phong.

According to Minh, the estimated value of 26parcelsl of land is about VND11,000 billion. In addition to 26 parcel of land without this investor, Thu Thiem new urban area also has 150 parcel of land which have had investment policy with a total area of 185ha. Of which the city spends 101 parcel of land to pay for some BT projects with an estimated VND32 trillion; 24 parcel of land reserved for investment of public works with state budget capital without collection of land use fees. And the remaining 25 parcel of land are invested in the form of land allocation with collection of land use fees.

Thu Thiem new urban area is “changing meat” every day

Existing projects and works in Thu Thiem new urban area can be listed as: Technical infrastructure project for resettlement area of 38.4 ha in Binh Khanh ward; Four major roads project; Central Plaza and Waterfront Park project; Ecological Park project in the Southern Delta. There is also a embankment along the Saigon River surrounding Thu Thiem; Thu Thiem Bridge 2 Project; Technical infrastructure projects in the northern residential area and the North-South backbone; Dredging projects, digging lake lakes and new canal banks.

According to the plan, Thu Thiem new urban area will have 24 bridges which spans canals.

Projects which have been invested in, but have not yet been implemented include: Pedestrian bridge project (connecting with District 1); Thu Thiem Bridge (connecting with District 4); Thu Thiem bridge project 4 (connecting with District 7).

Thu Thiem New Urban Area is located on the Saigon River and opposite to the center of District 1 with a total area of 657 hectares. This is an urban project which is approved by Ho Chi Minh City with the desire to maximize the development potential of Thu Thiem to become a new city center comparable with District 1 now.
