The project is located near the corner of Quang Trung and Phan Huy Ich Streets, Ward 14, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. The three-block building was built on an area of over 26,000 square meters including a basement for parking, ground floor, mezzanine and 11 floors with 1,190 apartments and townhouses, and it was put into use from 2013.
Mr. Khoan, an owner of an apartment in Block 1 at Khang Gia Go Vap apartment complex, said that before signing the contract, brokers and investors introduced that the project would have many amenities such as beautiful parks, trees, internal roads, etc. However, since his family lived in his apartment more than 3 years, the land of these facilities have remained the bare land having luxuriant grasses and amphibians.
“According to the design, this area should have been an amenity area with a park and a greenery, but until now there is empty” Khoan pointed to the vacant lot in the center of the apartment complex.
According to our observation, the area for amenities is only a grassy area and becomes into a pond of water whenever it rains, is the ideal accommodation of mosquitoes. In addition, this land also becomes a place to gather rubbish, therefore, it smells bad.
“The garbage was gathered on the internal road, close to the park. Despite living in the apartment on the 5th floor, residents sometimes don’t dare to open their windows, for fear of bad odor filling into their house” he said.
Meanwhile, the area introduced as an internal passage is now being used by business shops to make parking lots.
Moreover, this apartment has also been flooded and filled stinky smell when heavy rain strikes. These problems have driven the residents very urgent.
After recognizing that the real estate owner “forgets” building utilities, many residents of the apartment Go Khap Khang Gia went to the office of Khang Gia Company at 103 Su Van, Ward 12, District 10, HCMC but they did not find out this company.
Nguyen Thanh Hai, Director of Tax Office District 10 (HCMC), said this unit has updated the notice that Khang Gia Real Estate Development and Investment JSC has escaped out of their registration address for business on the national tax network. Along with that, all of the bills and company tax codes are blocked to prevent them from enjoying tax benefits.

According to a notice from District 10 Tax Department, Khang Gia Company owes a tax amount of more than 1 million dollars, including corporate income tax, value-added tax (VAT), etc.
However, according to experts, the information of Khang Gia Company’s escape is supposed to be verified more thoroughly because the amount of tax debt of 1 million dollars is not too big money for the big company which has many projects in Ho Chi Minh City such as Khang Gia Go Vap Apartment, Khang Gia Tan Huong Apartment (Tan Phu District), Khang Gia Chanh Hung (District 8), etc.
Some source of news showed that Khang Gia Company is working with the tax authorities to update the new business address. Accordingly, the company is operating at the address in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to Khang Gia Go Vap apartment, Khang Gia Company is also being condemned by residents of Khang Gia Tan Complex including unconfirmed changes in the approved design, additional flats and kiosks for business, providing no any paper to convene the first condominium conference, etc.
Despite the appearance of a series of bad information from the residents of Khang Gia Tan Huong Apartment and Khang Gia Go Vap Apartment, representatives of Khang Gia Company have not officially spoken.
