Accordingly, in the next year, there will be 880 projects requiring land acquisition with the total area of over 8,000ha. In which the area of about 7,000ha, 321 projects converted land use rice.
5 projects use protective forest land and 9 districts have the need to change the purpose of rice land use for households and individuals.
Specifically, 498 projects are transitioning from land use planning in 2015 and 2016 with a total area of 4,288ha; 382 new registered projects from 2017 with the total area of 3,727ha.
In the year 2017, Ho Chi Minh City also needs to change the purpose of using rice land of households and individuals in 9 districts with a total area of 1.373ha.

Of which, Cu Chi district has the largest share of over 407ha, followed by Can Gio District with over 363ha, Hoc Mon district with over 268ha, Nha Be with over 130ha.
