Topaz Home Project Was Suspended Due To Crane Failure

The HCM City Department of Construction has issued a decision to suspend construction of the Topaz Home project to verify the entire process of construction, supervision and construction of the project. This suspension is intended for functional agencies to review the entire process of construction, supervision and construction of the project. The crane collapse at Topaz Home Project left two people injured and many of the neighboring buildings were severely damaged

The collapse of the crane at the Topaz Home apartment has left two people seriously injured. Specifically, the worker Le Van Kien (born in 1993, Ca Mau) controls the crane with injuries in his leg, neck and chest taken to emergency and is being treated at the hospital 115.

“The couple went to Saigon for more than 10 years and dared to buy a house for stable living. Now, the project is in trouble and we do not know when to suspend construction. If we would like to take money back, would the investor agree ?, said a client of Topaz Home.

On 7th March, we contacted Thuan Kieu General Service and Agriculture Joint Stock Company, Topaz Home Project and Van Thai Land Company but they did not receive the answer.

Two injured were supported 3.8 million VND / person as regulated.

Topaz Home is built in an area of 14,770sqm, comprising eight 20-storey blocks with 1,172 apartments. Phase one consists of three blocks A1, B1, A4 with 450 apartments with an area of 43.5-69sqm.

Phase two consists of two blocks C1, C2 with the apartment area of 43.4-69 sqm. The remaining three blocks, investors have not disclosed information. Currently, blocks A1, B1, A4 are under construction on the second floor, blocks C1 and C2 are under construction on the first floor.

Expected, in the third quarter of 2018, Topaz Home apartment project will hand over. However, crane failure will make the progress of handing over the apartment slow.
